In my third book, I decided to explore a little how Alise and Lloyd might handle other people in their relationship. In their first encounter (OK, so spoiler alert!) they agree not to be exclusive, but the question in my mind was always how each of them would react to other people.
There Are Others starts with a bored Alise, clearly desperate to see Lloyd, but he isn’t available. Instead, she tried to find satisfaction by herself, but it’s no good. Sudden;y she hears him drive past so descides to surprise him. Little does she know Lloyd has other plans.
To say any more would be to spoil the plot, so I’ll stop there! What was fun was bringing in a new character. Again, I play with Alise’s emotions, exploring the rollercoaster that comes with the early days of a relationship.
