Under The Stars explores Alise’s eternal struggle – does she want time on her own, or does she want company? She slipped onto the bench next to Sass and took a long, deep draught of her beer. The sharp, cold taste hit the spot, welcome refreshment after her earlier exertions.
“So Sass tells me we have a lot in common?” Matt said, voice rising at the end in question.
“Did she?” Alise said, giving the girl a questioning glance. “Well I wonder exactly what she told you?” she replied, aping his questioning tone.
Matt laughed, sipping his drink. Suddenly he dropped his phone under the table.
“Oops, clumsy me,” he said. Alise knew exactly what he was doing as he slid off his seat and crawled under. She picked up her drink and sipped some more, opening her legs. Sass reached down and tugged at her skirt, gently lifting the front hem.
