There Are Others

Alise has settled into the quiet beauty of the Welsh mountains, leaving behind the glitz and chaos of Los Angeles. Once a celebrated writer whose stories were turned into Hollywood hits, she thrived in fame for a time, but the weight of her intersex identity and a turbulent past eventually pushed her to seek solace in a simpler, quieter life.

Her connection with Lloyd, the man who rescued her and ignited a passionate romance, has brought excitement and unpredictability to her new chapter. But when Alise pays Lloyd an unannounced visit to his caravan, she stumbles upon a scene that challenges everything she thought she knew about him.

Watching Lloyd in bed with another woman, Alise is first struck by shock and curiosity. Yet, as the moment unfolds, she finds herself drawn into the experience, exploring an unexpected and uninhibited side of herself. What begins as a confrontation turns into a shared encounter that takes their relationship into uncharted territory.

As Alise navigates this new dimension to their intimacy, she is forced to confront deeper questions about desire, trust, and the unconventional nature of love in her search for belonging and self-acceptance.

A teaser…

Fifteen minutes seemed to take an age. She desperately hoped he was in the mood when she got there. Hopefully he wasn’t asleep! Their relationship thus far had been very much based on his schedule, not hers. Maybe this was her turn. There was only one way to find out.

Drawing near the clearing she could see his Land Rover standing there, lights on inside the caravan. She grinned as she approached, planning her opening remarks. Just short of the door she stopped, hearing a voice from the caravan. His. She knew that voice well. Was he on the phone?

A high pitched giggle stopped her in her tracks. Did he have a girl in there? She froze, unsure what to do. Standing there, in full view of the caravan, pantiless, she suddenly felt incredibly vulnerable. This was not the plan. Who was it in there with him? Shit! The fact he might not be alone hadn’t even crossed her mind.

A shadow moved inside the caravan, heading towards the back, towards the bedroom. A high pitched shriek and a low rumble of his voice accompanied it. A door closed. Well it probably wasn’t his mother. Alise stood still as a post, heart in her mouth, listening intently over the pounding of her own pulse in her ears. Was he… busy? With someone?
